Hoag: Less, But Better

Context

Hoag's social channels were active but noisy. A high volume of posts kept the organizatio present, but not always purposeful. The challenge was clear: too much output without enough resonance.

Purpose

Shift from “more content” to “more meaning.” Instead of chasing volume, the goal was to create fewer, stronger posts that connected deeply, provided value, and built lasting trust with our audience.

Strategy

Cut post volume dramatically and doubled down on quality. Every piece of content was treated like an intentional moment — crafted to inform, inspire, or connect, rather than just fill a slot on the calendar. The guiding principle was simple: less noise, more value.

  • Post volume: –70% YoY
  • Impressions per post: +169%
  • Engagement per post: +154%
  • Link clicks per post: +145%
  • Video views per post: +498%
  • Follower growth: +25%
     

The experiment proved that in a digital world obsessed with “more,” real growth can come from restraint. By slowing down, we gave our stories space to resonate — and the audience responded.
